Background

Pop-up restaurants, pop-up retail spaces, holiday market stalls, raves, speakeasies, and guerrilla art projects are intimately linked: They each look to leverage underused spaces to create something distinctive and special–and thus memorable–but for a limited period of time. Pop-Up Ed(ucation) notices the pedagogical potential of ephemerality and looks to leverage underused times and spaces in which passionate educators and learners-with-appetites can create timely, unique, deeply memorable educational moments together.
